You're right about those life goals. I was in LA and SF once as a kid, and once as a "road trip through the US" back in the 90s not long after I moved to Austria. I enjoyed very much SF, LA not so much. The point is I've never been back to either place (I don't count airports in transit).

Vienna is incredible. So is Spain.

The people of Spain are really wonderful. I worked in Spain for 8 years (a few months per year) and took to month+ long vacations there. Really great country.
