You're partly right. Money above a certain level doesn't bring commensurately more happiness. I've been there and done that, and there are lots of studies supporting that theory.

That being said, below a level of stability, money matters more than just about anything. If you can't pay all your bills on time, you worry about having enough food, and/or keeping a roof over your head then having the same values as a YouTuber doesn't mean much of anything, let alone supporting her.

I think your perspective starting out with so much has clouded your judgment.
