You're not out of line at all. Thanks for the advice. Normally it is very good advice. Like my mom used to say, "Just let them be wrong."

Here in Austria gun control is quite strict, so I'm not worried that "The Wapplers" (not their name, but the word "Wappler" is the perfect non-profane Viennese description of our neighbors) will shoot at us.

We have a lot of individual legal protections here. Normally these are great. They can, unfortunately, be misused by dishonest actors to harass and commit lawfare. Basically whenever we do something or want to do something on our private property, they threaten legal action if we don't stop.

Just ignoring a letter from a law firm with a "cease and desist" letter is not advisable. Unfortunately we'll have to collect multiple examples of this lawfare before we have enough evidence to counter sue for coercion and/or frivolous actions. It is such a horrid waste of time and energy.
