Your argument about China bullying is using time travel. At the time all the countries agreed that China was one country ruled from Beijing, China was a backward, closed economy and Richard Nixon had just visited a year or so ago.

Regarding Tibet and the Uyghars, it is a mixed bag. No doubt China is occupying Tibet. That does not make the Dali Lama a good person. Being on the payroll of the CIA for decades just makes him and Tibet another chess piece between the Western Empire centered in the US and the (again) rising China.

The Uyghars are another chess piece being used by the West to thwart China's "Belt and Road" initiative. The actions taken by China against an admitted terrorist group are certainly not the mildest ever known, but also far less harsh than what we've done and are doing right now. There is no physical genocide happening in Xinjiang, unlike the one we are currently funding and supplying in Gaza.

I don't "support" the Chinese. I just don't claim the west is any better. We are just different. The world is not black and white.
