Regarding #2, the farther east I’ve gone in Europe, the more bidets are common. For example, in Turkey bidets are completely ubiquitous and toilet paper is still often separately collected rather than flushed. Bidets are the future, but the US is at least slowly catching on that toilet paper is not enough.
