You seem to have a real issue with democracy. That is socialism in a nutshell. People decide what to do, including what decisions to make by individuals, and which to make by the collective.

I live in a social democracy for many years after growing up and working in the US. The main difference is in political corruption. The more poltical corruption, the less democracy, and the less socialism. This is why social democratic countries are all happier than the US. More democracy. More socialism.
