You said you didn't watch the interview. Putin was quite clear that he is open to negotiations. Negotiations were broken off by Ukraine. Ukraine has made it illegal to negotiate with Russia. The logical response from Russia is to continue to attack until Ukraine changes this policy. Anything else would be stupid.

I quote you again here, "From the beginning of the war I haven't seen ONE successful effort of the Russians to take territory." I point out that your statement is clearly not true. I think that is the definition of "denying anything [I] wrote."
Russia is a authoritarian market economy. Not massively different to the US. That is a world apart from the 70 year-old central planning model of the USSR. It is like comparing China's economy (or India's) from the 1980s to its economy today.
