Prior to the invasion, the Nazi problem was so well known that in 2018 the US passed a law forbidding US funds from going to the Ukrainian Azov Battallion in the Ukraine military, because they are known Nazis.

Nazis were German. Nazis in Ukraine were headed before and during WWII by Stepan Bandera.

Bandera was and is a decorated - by the Ukrainain President - "hero" of Ukraine.

Are all Ukrainians Nazis? Of course not. Not even a majority. Unfortnately, having a minority of people who are willing to murder to solve their problems means the Ukrainian Nazis have veto power over democratically elected leaders and judges.
