You have left out 8 years of shelling of Donbas Ukrainians by the Western Ukrainians, Kyiv reneging on implementing the UNSC supported Minsk I and Minsk II accords, and the increased shelling and 10s of thousands of troops on the border to the Donbas before Russia invaded to stop the imminent slaughter of the Donbas residents. Context matters.

That doesn't make Russia "the good guy" here. There are no good guys here. Just like when looking at Gaza, both Hamas AND the IDF are terrorists.
