You don’t appear to know that much about how the US really works. Not how the US “says” that it works, but how it actually works.

I definitely agree that Putin has way too much power, as does Joe Biden.

Ask Julian Assange what happens when you disagree with American oligarchs. Assange is sitting in prison, basically been in prison for 10 years, for “breaking the law” of a country of which he isn’t a citizen, has never traveled to, and where he has no business residence.

The US is smarter about oppression than Putin is. Instead of disappearing people, the US financially and socially cancels its opponents through pressure on US monopoly firms. It is a legal way to disappear someone without killing them.
