You clearly did not study engineering at university. Noone in engineering expects women to be hot. Nor do we expect many engineering students to be women.

I'm sure things have changed since my day, but I think we had 2 girls out 200+ engineering undergrads. Both really smart. Both really nice. Both were not working summers as Victoria Secret models.
