You cannot live anywhere in the US on a full-time minimum wage job. Meaning that you explicitly support wage slavery.
Minimum wage jobs were meant to help teenagers and young adults enter the workforce? Really, then why are these businesses open during school hours? Only a tiny percentage of people can move beyond a minimum wage job without high-school and college graduation. It is impossible to fill mininum wage jobs with the tiny sliver of the population that can. This means there will be a huge permanent underclass of people unable to handle higher paying jobs. So your argument is not supported by reality.
Minimum wages should be a livable wage. As we see all over the EU, you can do this and still make a profit. The difference to the US is that a guy like the owner of Papa John's pizza chain cannot become a billionaire by wage-slavery wages. It's not rocket science. Pizza parlars exist all over the EU.
