You and I disagree on that point. We will probably never know the actual numbers. Prior to the Russia's invasion it was well documented in the western press and the US government that Ukraine has a Nazi problem. Anecdotally, I have friends in all neighboring countries and family in Czechia that confirm Ukraine has always had a Nazi problem.

Since Russia's invasion, Nazis have been rehabilitated all over the west.

Related: Canada's honoring in parliament with a standing ovation of a Nazi (Yaroslav Hunka), a volunteer for the Waffen SS in a unit (the 14th Waffen Grenadier Unit) specifically cited for horrendous war crimes. Hunka was not alone in being provided asylum after WWII. See Operation Paperclip in the US.

Like Trump Derangement Syndrome, far too many people and ideologies viewed as Anti-Russian or Anti-Soviet are now seen in a positive light. Just like this war Ukraine: Sometimes there are no "good guys."

Apropos Trump: Trump's (IMO) vastly overvaluations (or under-valuations, depending on who is asking him) are not hard science. Square footage is hard science and there he is being his usual dishonest self.
