WTF? So it is WWIII to end the war in Ukraine? Your alternative strategy is to wait for Putin to get assassinated? Are you mental?

Ukraine is asking for weapons equal to what it had at the beginning of 2022. Meaning all the old ones are destroyed. But somehow you think that getting new weapons (1/3 of which are currently being destroyed before they get to the front) to a Ukraine armed forces decimated by four months of constant attrition is going to turn this around? That is a fantasy.

When will the Ukrainians get trained on these western weapons replacing the old Ukraine/Soviet weapons they had? Even with a minimum of 4 weeks training, if the weapons arrived today another 10-20k Ukrainian soldiers will be dead or wounded before the 2/3rds get to the front. That strategy just means more territory lost, more Ukrainians dead, more infrastructure destroyed.

The ONLY way to end this war is to sue for peace now. Stop the fighting ASAP and then work on a diplomatic solution to get territory back from Russia. That means - suck it up buttercup and negotiate with Putin.

The Ukrainian position was strongest before the invasion and about a week into it. Since that time the Ukrainian position has continued to get worse. The opportunity missed then doesn't magically reappear just because people want it to.

Continuing to supply weapons so that Ukrainians continue to get slaughtered is a strategy that only makes Putin's victory larger.
