WTF?! In "The Phantom Menace" Anakin was a child!!! What chemistry - EXACTLY - were you looking for in that movie?

I've heard the "Padmé and Anakin have no chemistry" trope so often I want to choose violence. I think half you haters are just posers who want to sound like you are "wise cinima critics."

I think you lack imagination and possibly trauma. We've got a May-December romance combined with Anakin's massive childhood trauma combined with the worst puberty EVER, combined with Padmè's super-conflicted feelings about getting involved at all, her duty to the Senate, which leads to massive stress from secrecy, plus galactic treachery and the manipulation of Anakin by the Jedi Council. This ain't "The Fucking Graduate." A bit more going on here.

If you saw no chemistry between Anakin and Padmé in the chariot on Genosis, then I'm betting you have some problems in your own relationships you need to work on.

I may not "love" every movie that Portman has been in, but she is an A-List actress. Hayden Christensen was an outstanding Anakin. He was also fantastic in "Jumper." Their chemistry in Star Wars Episode II and III was great.

Ironically, I get to the end of my rant and I agree with you. In the Phantom Menace there was no chemistry between Padmè and Anakin. Good so, you Epstein Wannabe.
