Work from home in a big firm = Please outsource my job

I don't know what kind of work you do, but my teams create. We create solutions from small teams and that are more than the sum of our parts (individual team members). That is a competitive advantage.

After our first lockdown and home-office run, all my staff, engineers and admin (except for one guy who - surprise! is no longer with us) said that for lockdown 2.0 they wanted a solution where they had at least some time in the office working with others, even if it was only 2 engineers max in one room and the rest remote.

No one is irreplaceable. If you are a single person working for a big firm and not part of a team you're just asking that big firm to move your job to [fill in lower cost country here].
