Why this resonated for me, and from what I read for many other people, particularly guys, is that it made it clear that women can be abusers as well as men, and a woman claiming to be abused doesn't make it true.

I don't live in the US, don't own a TV, and I have neither the time nor the interest to follow the trial closely, but I knew about the English trial and verdict and I followed some of the US trial highlights on the interwebs.

I was interested how Depp could prove defamation in the US after losing in the UK. I learned a bit more about how fucked up media is. I learned more than a bit about how fucked up both Depp and Heard are. Talk about money not buying you happiness! It was like watching two train wrecks having a train wreck.
