Why do you assume that I haven’t talked to non-native Austrians how it really was for them when they first arrived in Austria?

Maybe I could just roll over in bed and talk to my Czech wife? Or the lady I know who came here as a refugee during the Yugoslavian war? Or the Syrian refugee family who lived in one of my rental flats until they got a government subsidized flat? Or my barber from Turkey? Or my grocer from Pakistan? Or my other grocer from Turkey? Or my training partner from Lithuania? Or my masseuse from Slovakia? I could go on for hours.

I can’t know what your mood was when you wrote your comment, as words have no body language, facial intonations and little inflection — but you come off as thinking you know a lot about me and how I formed my opinions over the last few decades. You don’t.
