What we've been doing is giving Ukrainians to the big bad wolf so that he doesn't go away. We've known since the 90s that NATO expansion is a major security concern to Russia. We've known since 2008 that it is a red-line for them.

We pushed Russia into a corner (and I admit, we did this well!) where they had no good options.

Unfortunately for us and mostly for the Ukrainians, we underestimated how well equipped Russia is to fight on their border.

The US wanted this war, and doesn't want it to end. Unlike the Ukrainians and the European populace The EU politicians are still trying to resist, but they are slowly losing, just like Ukraine is losing this war.

I just hope we don't do the same with China in Taiwan, but most signs there look like war as well.
