What I find very distressing about the situation is that when Trump won, the Democratic establishment did the same thing, starting the #RussiaGate hoax. They used that to claim Trump did not legitimately win, that the Electors of the Electoral College should change their votes to not allow Trump to tak office. They used it to undermine Trump for 4 years.

Now maybe it is a good thing that Trump couldn't do all he wanted, but to base the resistence on the false claim that Trump is a "traitor," "Putin-puppet," etc. is an incredibly dangerous precedent.
