Well then, I guess Hamas can bomb downtown Tel Aviv where Mossad has put its headquarters and you don't get to complain, right?
I can only hope it is your last reply.
Israel is killing Palestinians in the West Bank in record numbers this year. There were record numbers of killings in the West Bank last year as well - BEFORE 7 October. Hamas does not run the West Bank. Ergo: Hamas surrendering will not end the genocide.
Only Israel ending the occupation and becoming a true democracy where all residents have the same rights will slowly end the cycle of violence that started with the Zionist colonization project in Palestine. The genocide can be ended quickly, but there is no quick solution to a problem that has existed for 100 years.
As long as the Palestinians have a will to resist there will be resistance groups. Some of them will be armed. Hamas has only been around since 1988. The Palestinian resistance much longer.
One thing we can agree on: Netanyahu is a criminal who belongs in court and then hopefully prison. Netanyahu - and his Likud party - has/have been supporting Hamas for decades. Therefore the entire ruling party of Israel is as much to blame for the current violence as Hamas.
The vast majority money from Hamas is not coming from Iran. I'm no fan of that theocratic regime, just as I'm no fan of the others (Israel included). Faith and governance should be strictly divided IMO. More religion in government never works out well.
