For all of Bernie Sanders’ belief that women can be elected president, he has done an objectively terrible job of tempering his base when they vilify women frontrunners.

We vilify anyone who uses dishonest politicking — the candidates gender has nothing to do with it. We’re not Bernie acolytes. Bernie apologized for Zephyr Teachout’s awesome post about Biden’s corruption. I would bet a substantial amount that a majority of Bernie’s supporters disagree with Bernie and agree with Zephyr on the issue, myself included.

Did Bernie Sanders say a woman cannot be President, as alleged? I really don’t know. But neither do most of you.

Correct! What I do know is that Warren chose to try to use a private conversation from 13 months ago that she knows can never be corroborated to attack Bernie — her alleged friend and ally — as a closet sexist, one day before the last pre-voting debate and two weeks before voing begins. Warren started the conflict, not Bernie and not Bernie’s supporters. When you start a dishonest conflict you shouldn’t be surprised when your calls to “deescalate” are not met with a friendly response.
