Very interesting. I especially liked the interview from "Stern" that you included.

My only critique is that I think it is a very relevant detail that Zech/Czech was told by his superior officer to throw away his uniform and iron cross after Zech was severely wounded and about to be captured. Zech was all of 14 then, and - although not stated - I'm supposing his superior wanted to save the boy's life. A non-uniformed 14 year-old shot through the lung is going to get much better treatment than a uniformed young man wearing the Iron Cross.
