Very interesting as usual, Andrei. I would agree with your conclusions except that decay is inevitable. The Chinese Government has enough resources to keep the wall maintained, just as the US government has enough to keep the US National Park system running smoothly. It is just a matter of priorities.

In both cases. it is putting the preservation of history and nature above short-term profits. Sadly in both cases, both governments have been looking at the short-term for several decades.
