Very interesting. Not surprising conclusions after the fact. The importance of reading, especially to children, cannot be overstated. Video is just not the same.

My wife is a huge Pippi fan, and my wife, myself and our son all loved Petterson (Pettson) and Findus when our son was small. We're all readers, and our son (now 25) reads as voraciously as we do. He's working on his master's to be a history teacher.

I started reading to him around age 2 (IIRC) and it became our nightly ritual for at least a decade, although as he got older we took turns. Great memories. I had no idea of the political ramifications.
