Unfortunately that applies generally to both the R and D candidates, with RFK Jr. having some serious issues regarding the reality of what is happening in Gaza right in front of our eyes.

I'm quite cynical and am happy I'm middle-aged, as I think the odds that civilization as we know it survives another 50 years is less than 50:50.

That doesn't change the fact that what is happening right now with humans having empathy for others solely based on long-distance evidence - in real time - is unprecedented. Maybe there is hope for mankind.
