Ukraine is just another Bay of Pigs. Cheney tried this tactic with Georgia (the European one) in 2008. That is, get some other country involved in a militarly conflicht that the US "must" support, which drags us into a much larger war. If you squint just right, you can see Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq (the last being the toughest to see) in that same way.

NATO has had no purpose since 1991 except for making US weapons manufacturers richer.

NATO expansion since 1991 is a threat to Russian security. That has nothing to do with Putin. Boris Yeltsin was picked by the US (i.e. US Big Banks) to be president of Russia after the collapse of the USSR, and even Yeltsin said that NATO expansion was a "thorn in his eye."

If you don't remember how it turned out in the Bay of Pigs movie, spoiler alert: all the guys invading died and the US didn't go to war over Cuba. Good on JFK for not being sucked into the MIC trap.

JFK got killed and Johnson walked right into Vietnam, where we were just advisors, right? But hey, can't let the commies win cuz, you know...reasons.

The US lost in Vietnam because it is a long fucking way from home, and we had no real long-term interest there. Strategic or economic.

The US lost in Afghanistan because it is a long fucking way from home, and we had no real long-term interest there. Strategic or economic.

The US lost in Iraq because it is a long fucking way from home, and we had no real long-term interest there. Strategic or economic.

The US lost in Syria because it is a long fucking way from home, and we had no major long-term interest there. Strategic or economic. We really want that pipeline, which is why the US has stolen and illegally occupies 1/3 of Syria right now. But we still lost the war.

So you see a pattern here. How do you think it will turn out in Ukraine? Ukraine is (let's say it together kids!) "a long fucking way from home, and we have no major long-term interest there. Strategic or economic."

I talked to a good friend in Romania yesterday. She said they are just waiting for things to go "boom."

The US is forcing this war. Ukraine doesn't want it. The EU sure as shit doesn't want it. Russia doesn't want it. They know they will lose. But they have said, "enough" with the US troops and weapons on their borders. Ukraine is a bridge too far.

If there is war in Ukraine, it is on the US. Here in Vienna, we probably won't get nuked because of all the international organizations here, including OPEC. So we'll just get to starve during the nuclear winter.

"Duck and cover, kids!"
