Uh, one murder is genocide? Apropos ridiculous. See the UN link below on the definition.

Rate of murders / time doesn't enter the definition. "If you kill X people in Y time it is genocide, but killing X-1 people in Y time is NOT genocide." THAT would be ridiculous.

Hamas stopped reporting how many people have died because the means of reporting have broken down. That 40k number is very out of date.

The Lancet (UK premier medical journal) last month estimates about 200,000 deaths or 10% of the total population.

Israel has Gaza under siege with no water, food or electricity. That is clear intent.

VERY many senior Israeli officials have made VERY clear statements about killing most or all of the Gazans. VERY clear intent.

Senior Israeli officials have said they can't kill Gazans any faster because there is so much press coverage.

So don't judge the Israeli genocide as "piss-poor." Their doing their best under the circumstances. Thus the push to ban Tik-Tok in the US and the arrest in France of the founder of Telegram. TPTB are trying to get press coverage down.

As is Israel itself by killing over 100 journalists since 7 October. Israel has killed more journalists in 10 months than in all the previous wars of the last century - combined.
