Uh, big NO on that one. The US blew up the Nordstream pipelines, NOT Russia.

I'm definitely of the mind that Germany should have kept their nuclear program going, but there is no way Germany could have planned that their own ally would blow up their multi-billion dollar gas infrastructure.

The whole EU project is based on economic ties to stop war. The idea that capitalist Russia would want to destroy its own infrastructure, let alone their EU customers is just stupid on its face. The only country saying Nordstream is bad has been the US, since at least 2014 (C. Rice).

So definitely Germany should un-mothball their reactors, but the immediate energy problems were caused by the US, not Russia.
