Trump is not a Nazi. Calling him a Nazi is insulting to the people, like my wife's family, who lived under the Nazis, including being sent to Buchenwald.

Hitler had his political prisoners in Concentration Camps within three months of taking power, for Trump that would have been in 2016.

Hitler had his political opponents killed. He had already been involved in violent purges - as in people killed - for years before he took power. Trump is vindictive, but nowhere close to as bloodthirsty as Hitler.

Most specifically, Hitler blamed the Jews for almost all of Germany's problems. Not roundabout dog whistles. Straight-out horrid, vile shit about a very small minority of the German population. Hitler referred to Slavs as "Untermenschen" - "sub-humans" who should have no rights.

Hitler wrote all this in his book, "Mein Kampf." He made no secret about what he thought and what he thought should be done. When Hitler got into power, he wasted no time in implementing that plan.

Trump is a menace. He's authoritarian and a racist, sexist con man. He's not a Nazi. Treating Trump like a Nazi instead of the con man, racist, sexist liar he is allows Trump - correctly - to play the victim. You make Trump more powerful by this comparison.
