This was both very informative and very depressing. Although a lot of progress has been made, we still have a long way to go until women are treated as equals.

I'm not sure I agree with the conclusion about power, but maybe it is just semantics. I think men who put women down, insult them, call them names, etc. feel inadequate. They can't compete on a level playing field, so they have to take down their competitors through sexism. Similar to why white people put down POC. Less competition.

Maybe this feeling of male inadequacy is what you mean by "fearing power." My wife puts it more bluntly. Guys like that have small dicks.
