This is such an American problem. I know, I used to work in the US. However you conflate, "big US based multi-national" with "your boss and your company."

Stop voting for the two major parties in the US. Vote for a worker's party and you'll see how quickly things change. FDR didn't bring in the new deal because he loved socialism. He did it because he wanted to save capitalism (his words). It's time for another reset like that in the US, before it is too late.
