This is as close to 100% correct as anything I've ever read about Hitler, and that is a lot.

My wife is Czech, and her grandfather was rounded up and sent to Buchenwald for the crime of being a male of some standing in his little town and born in 1921. He survived (a different story), but the point is that most people in Western Europe look at Slavs and Hungarians and everyone from Eastern Europe as "non-white." I've seen it countless times with my lily-white, blue-eyed wife.
