This has been pissing me off since CDs arrived in the 90s, and then digitalization software. Why the fuck is it illegal for me to make a copy of an album I already own?

I have my own company for 28+ years. Where we have a choice (e.g. office software) we only buy full versions. Never SAAS for OSs or productivity software like Excel. We buy a version that is a couple versions older, and then run it until there are major compatibility issues.

Not using SAAS has saved us hundreds of thousands of Euros in software and maintenance costs. Maybe millions, and we're a small company.
