They didn't spend much time on the outside either, from a design point of view. They have spent a shit ton both inside and out taking a mediocre idea of Musk's and trying to turn it into an engineering reality.

I was never a huge Steve Jobs fan, but he did have good design ideas. Musk has mediocre design ideas with a Steve Jobs' size ego. Not a long-term winning financial combination.
