There is no hard line between "science fiction" and "fantasy." It is harder than asking people to define the line between a socialist country and capitalist country.

I think it was Asimov who said that any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguisable from magic. If you showed a working smartphone to the Vatican in 1500 you'd probably be burned as a witch.
