There is no "dragged into it." I don't have time write a long comment today, but suffice it to say we've been "dragged into" (wink-wink) wars for at least 100 years where it comes out years (sometimes only months) later that the US took direct action to provoke war and then claim we're "dragged into it." When we can't provoke a war, we'll just make shit up.
The Lusitania was illegally carrying arms.
The US embargo on Japanese oil.
The non-existant Gulf of Tonkin attack on the US.
Iraqis throwing babies out of incubators.
Turning down the Taliban offer to give us Osama bin Laden.
Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.
Libya giving soldiers viagra to "weaponize rape."
Bashar Al-asaad gassing his own people
Russia giving soldiers viagra to "weaponize rape."
Troops and weapons on the ground in Ukraine make it more of a wash who is the aggressor. Much more importantly, weapons as a deterrent don't increase the share price of Raytheon and Boeing. Using them does. Undestroyed infrastructure doesn't require loans from the IMF that come with provisions to reduce worker rights, sell public assets to western firms like Blackrock and open up Ukrainian banking to Wall Street firms to financialize.
Boy, good thing I didn't have time for a long comment! ;-)
