There is a word for "quitting for a little while." It is called "vacation."

Having 4-6 weeks of paid vacation by law is one of the reasons that residents in the EU are on average much happier than my fellow citizens back in the New World. It is a chance to recharge, unwind, detox, [fill in your own favorite term] knowing that your job will still be there when you get back.
