There is a place in the Czech Republic (I can't remember the name) that has been a religious destination for 100s of years at least, due to the "aura" of the place. My wife was there on a day trip a few years ago with our dog. Our dog found a spot near the center of the religious building and basically did not want to move from there. Maybe the bridge in Scotland is an "anti-version" of this phenomena.
