There is a huge difference between "a fucking and dangerous idiot" and a "fucking Russian asset" on several different levels.

There are always idiots everywhere. Left, right, center, rich, poor, white, black, etc. If you think Tucker is a fucking idiot, then it should be easy to prove him wrong ON THE MERITS of his argument (or lack thereof).

But that is NOT what is being done here. We're being told we have to reject what Tucker says and accept the word of the US spy agencies (who not just by the way lied about Vietnam, Iraq war I, Iraq war II, Libya, Syria, etc.) that THIS foreign war is one we should support. We send $16b to Ukraine in a matter of days, when $20b to end homelessness in the US is a completely radical idea. Our patriotism is called into question if question the US spy agencies, because according to those spy agenices, what Tucker Carlson is saying is coming from the Kremlin, and of course nothing that comes from a Russian can be true.

That last is second issue. In the US people are demonizing anything Russian. At the same time we're saying the Russian people should rise up and get rid of their brutal dictator Putin, we're telling them they all suck and are collectively guilty for having the bad luck to live in a country, be from a country, or even have ancestors from a country that today has a brutal dictator committing war crimes. This plan of demonizing Russians only makes Putin stronger, makes peace harder, and creates wedge issues that the US oligarchs and their paid lackeys in the US congress use to enrich themselves with our tax money. Good job!
