There are only two ways wars end:

- Total capitulation

- Negotiation

This war has gone on for 4+ months. Unlike other regional conflicts, the entire western world mobilized financially against Russia within weeks. Russia took a huge hit, but was prepared for at least some of this, and has bounced back higher than ever.

We (the west) are fighting Russia like it is 1942, not 2022. BRICS is half the world population now, and they are NOT on our side, financially or militarily.

Russia has the internal capacity to fight like this for years. Total capitulation of Russia will only come if the west attacks directly - i.e. WWIII. Or we continue as we do and it is total capitulation of Ukraine.

Your last sentence is very disingenous.

Ukraine can only continue to fight as it does now if we (the west) continue to supply weapons to them. If the west sent only humanitarian aid to Ukraine, the war would be over in weeks, because the Ukrainian armed forces would collapse.

So we (and I by my citizenship) are responsible for thousands more Ukrainians dying. Bartenders are responsible for saying to drunk patrons, "Bob, you've had enough. I'm not serving you anymore."

We armed and trained Ukraine from 2015 to 2022. We just approved another $56 billion. Western Europe has also sent billions in weapons and supplies. Bob has had enough. We are complicit in the deaths of thousands more Ukrainians by continuing to support this war. It is not up to just the Ukrainians.
