The US still imports a huge amount of crude oil. All crude oil is not alike. Crude oil from fracking results in different cuts off of a crude unit (the first unit in a refinery) than oil from Saudi Arabia, Venezuela or Canada.

Also important to note that fracking production has peaked already in the US.
