The Truth Hits Everybody
You're welcome and thank you. I took me a very long time to really learn to be honest even though I made a few good choices as a very young man. The real learning began after I started being honest with myself and began accepting who I am, what I require, want, and will accept (i.e. “live with”) in a relationship. That I was unhappily married and had a kid was just whipped cream on a very special pie. The process that followed was painful and expensive both emotionally and financially.
I think there are very few people who are totally honest about their feelings all the time. I think that is OK, as the list of what we require/want/accept changes with time and also with circumstances — for all the different types of relationships we have.
