The Democrats are controlled opposition. Any time there is a chance for a fully progressive policy to be passed, there will be just enough D votes in [fill in bogus reason] districts/states to make sure it doesn't pass. When the Dems need 44 of 48 D Senatorial votes to pass something, you'll see they only can get 43 because...reasons.

Right now they need all 50 plus Harris, and suddenly they can only get 49.
