The assassinations of JFK, MLK and RFK were the MIC telling elected officials and throught leaders, "We're in charge here. Don't cross us. Don't stir things up. Or else this will be your fate."
MLK was the most "dangerous." He was convincing poor black and white people that they had a lot more in common than differences.
In the 54 years since those 3, noone has been allowed to get so popular before being killed.
Fred Hampton was cut from the same heroic cloth as MLK. Hampton wasn't allowed to get nearly so popular before he was assassinated.
US fascists are much smarter than the Italians or the German Nazis. They have moved a much slower pace, cementing their power in each new generation before tightening the screws some more.
The US of my childhood of the 70s is long gone. The country is politically and culturally completely different.
That shot on 4 April 1967 is still echoing today.
