That last paragraph of yours says it all. I was discussing with some guys at work today how much computers and engineering has changed in the last few decades, along with the world.

Since 1975 the world population has doubled. IIRC about 100 years ago there were around/ fewer than 1 billion people. Now we're 8 billion.

If we're going to survive we have to get along with our differences, as there are just so damn many of us now. With so many people and so many wars and so little space between us we all, as you say, have a lot more learning to do.
