Unfortunately I know my personality and keep my writing to comments. If I started writing full articles my day job would suffer massively. Since I run my own small business, that would be, "sub-optimal."
I'll be honest that when I was a kid I enjoyed being the best or one of the best at all sports. American culture puts sports heroes at the level of war heroes, and you get some real pieces of shit who do horrible things but get a pass because they were the MVP of [fill in the blank].
Once I got into my 20s and 30s I started to see things differently. I then started traveling abroad (I had no money to as a kid). This opened my eyes to other cultures and got me to thinking how brutal and fucked up the US system is to anyone who is below average at anything.
The politics of dodgeball indeed.
