That is factually wrong. It is a function of numbers AND intent.

Mitch: "And it is not just Hamas that Israel must fight for its survival, but the Arab world's militaries and the terror organizations its governments fund and support."

That is debatable, but much more important it is completely irrelevant to what Israel is doing to the civilian population of Gaza. Committing war crimes and genocide on Gazans because maybe Iran something something does not in any way make Israel less guilty of war crimes and genocide. International law is crystal clear on that point.

Mitch: "Hamas leadership has been clear and public about its desire to force an Israeli response that would create martyrs for propaganda in the West."

That Hamas is lead by some bad people is (for me) not debatable. I repeat: Committing war crimes and genocide on Gazans because maybe Iran something something does not in any way make Israel less guilty of war crimes and genocide. International law is crystal clear on that point.

In Austria and Germany it is expressly illegal to openly support anything having to do with Nazis. I personally think the laws are not enforced strongly enough in some specific cases, but in the US, where you live, you can goose step around with a brown shirt and a swastika flag saying Hitler is your God and it is completely legal. So spare me your ad hominem guilt by locality.

How come you haven't moved from the US if it is so unsafe, Mitch? Why aren't you in Israel volunteering for the IDF?

You have some massive entitlement projection to assume that 30 years ago I was in such a position of independent wealth and position that I could say, “Hmmm…I can live anywhere in the world that I want. I’ll choose Vienna.” That is the world of the .1% of which I’m definitely not a member.
