That attitude works...until it doesn't. Just ask Nazi Germany or the USSR or the Ottoman Empire or the Habsburgs or the Romans how that worked out. It is playing out right now with the US.

Sometimes powers last for centuries (e.g. Roman Empire). Sometimes only a few years (Nazi Germany).

Israel cannot stand on its own. It does not have the size or the natural resources to do so. Isolation will mean the end of Israel as we know it, and that is exactly where your and Israel's attitude is heading.
