I should clarify. I have a hard time watching an actor and separating that person's face from what I know about them when they are in role. It can take me out of the story and into reality which defeats a major purpose of the film for me.

I must admit I haven't really tested this theory, since I haven't gotten beyond looking at the cover art for example "The Road Warrior" and seeing Mel Gibson rather than Max Rockatansky.

It doesn't go beyond the principle actors (e.g. I'm happy Harvey Weinstein is in prison and I'm fine watching movies he produced).
